1. Purpose of the Role
The purpose of the position is to provide technical and product expertise to support global Business Development activities in Business to Business (B2B) and distributor sales process, facilitating the implementation of Cocoon technology with customers and presenting results from R&D and Applications to external partners and at trade conferences. The role also manages Key Opinion Leadership relationships, facilitates webinars, and feeds Voice of Customer information to the Product Management, Marketing and R&D community to influence prototype/product development. Overall, the role manages the function of technical sales on a global scale.2. Responsibilities and Duties
• Lead the field-based technical support of Business Development activities, B2B and distributor sales processes via technical and product expertise.
• In cooperation with the BDM function, drive technical assessment of opportunities in the sales funnel at a global scale.
• Recommend R&D/Application resources to contribute to technical sales and support internally and externally at customer visits and conferences.
• Participate in VOC (Voice of Customer) activities with the BDM/Marketing function and drive the systematic collection, organization and analysis of technical customer feedback and needs relevant for input into the NPI Process.
• Support analysis of relevant technologies and applications, identify potential market segments for novel enzymes and solutions, in alignment with Company strategy.
• Lead technical training of distributors and internal personnel and provide them with new and updated marketing materials when available.
• Contribute technical expertise in building new product concepts, providing information and opinions to the management team.
• Lead all customer-driven and other external (KOL) collaboration/application projects for existing products and applications.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to help create application data that enables the commercial team to successfully sell our value proposition and products.
• Identify and provide customers with prototypes and collect VOC information related to their use and functionality.
• Contribute to new funding proposals by identifying potential collaboration partners and setting up the project and proposal writing.
• Work actively with customers and collaboration partners to present results from R&D and Applications to customers, at conferences, collaboration partners or internally.
• In coordination with Product and Marketing Management function, contribute with technical information/results and expertise to the making of application notes, webinars, and other marketing collateral.
• Complete Quality Assurance tasks when required.3. Authorities

• Education: PhD (and 4+ years exp.) in molecular biology, biochemistry or equivalent. Work experience in the biotechnology industry and 2+ years’ experience with B2B customer-facing activities.
• Flexibility, creativity, time management skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience from project work and project management.
• Flexibility for infrequent travel to customers, KOL’s, external partners, conferences/exhibitions and engage at various levels and functions.
• Ability to work effectively, collaborate and communicate cross-functionally with other team members and various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required5. Location & Travel

Level: OperatorAt Cocoon we are looking for an Insect Operator to join our Entomology team at our industrial plant.
The Operator will be responsible for:
- Insect breeding activities to maintain commercial insect colonies
- Manage insect production to meet production and growth targets
- Daily tasks for the maintenance of the different areas of the industrial plant where insects production occurs (some weekend work and reasonable additional hours may be required)
- Collection of production data to ensure the quality of the different processes
